  • Notes:
    Captain Joseph Creese was one of the last keepers of the Derwent Lighthouse, also known as the Iron Pot Lighthouse. During his time as a lighthouse keeper Captain Creese was known to have made a number of these frames and probably including the present example. Typical of the style of the pieces he created the work shows a talent for the laborious task of stippling and inlaying various timbers.
