  made by Gieve, Matthews & Seagrove Ltd, outfitters to the British Royal Navy, in silk velvet with damask grosgrain ribbon binding, and a grosgrain ribbon to the side, with possibly a later rosette and 'bullion' button, leather inner band and cream silk lining with maker's gold lettering, fitted box
