The Massim orange red Shell Money pieces that each came in their own little fiber wallets are from Rossel Island and are called Tebuda. They were said by the old men to have been made by the god Wonajo before man came to the island. They were used in Bride price payments and other types of traditional compensation like warfare payments, funerary payments, together with Three Pearl Shell Wealth Objects from New Britain.
