A Rare Old Basket Hook, Huon Gulf Area, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea, 19th to Early 20th Century
so far you have only seen Basket Hook Figures from the Sepik & Ramu areas but this sweet little caving is from a long way away in the Huon Gulf Area, likely either from Tami or Siassi Islands, the face is pure Huon Gulf Style, the piece has had decades of use and you can see the old deep patina.
