Lot Description:A Pair of Old Hardwood Line Markers, Japan
these tools were used in the construction of traditional Japanese wooden houses to mark lines for the placement of beams. A string is drawn through the ink soaked fabric in the well of the implement. One with Japanese stamp to base. One has repair to arm holding string spool.
