POLITICAL PUNCHING PUPPETS. Group of four, probably made in the late 1980’s
The puppets are caricatures of John Howard, Bob Hawke and Paul Keating (2 examples, one still in original packaging). The label on the Keating puppet shows that they were made in Taiwan ROC. The puppets were originally based on Punch & Judy but later became a popular kid’s toy with caricatures of boxers (Muhammad Ali, Rocky, Mr T, Ninja etc) and inevitably, politicians.
