  • Notes:
Like his famous sister, Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Kudditji has a deserved reputation as an innovator and as a consummate artist. He was an Ammatyerre elder and custodian of many important "Dreamings". Kudditji was intrigued by the availability of acrylic paint and the kaleidoscope of colours available to him. It was then that he began to use a heavily loaded brush to sweep broadly across the canvas in stages, similar to a western landscape plane. These paintings represent images of his country accentuating the colour and form of the landscape, including the depth of the sky in the wet season and the reds and oranges of the shimmering summer heat.
