  An unusual garlic head-style porcelain vase decorated with transfer prints celebrating the Cultural Revolution
  with a portrait of the young Mao Zedong and a number of his quotations. Around the mouth of the vase reads “Great leader, teacher, helmsman and commander-in-chief”, and around the shoulder “Top instruction: must not forget war of classes”. Around the main body of the vase it reads Great Helmsman, Great Commander in Chief, Great Leader, Great Teacher, Lin Biao” and “Sailing the seas requires a helmsman: revolution requires Mao Zedong thought”. Lin Biao originated the title of Great Helmsman for Chairman Mao, before he was later condemned as a traitor.
