  A circular porcelain Maoist box decorated with Cultural Revolution transfer prints of paramount leader Mao Zedong
  and Lin Biao, his then second-in-command and designated successor but who died in a plane crash in September 1971 in Mongolia after the discovery of a plot to remove Mao; he was posthumously condemned as a traitor. Beneath the image of the pair on the lid it reads “Chairman Mao and his close comrade Lin Biao inspect the army of the Cultural Revolution”. The interior of the base reads “Great Leader, Great Teacher, Great Commander in Chief, Great Helmsman”,
