  Private collection, Sydney.
• Notes:
  After receiving a Society of the Arts travelling scholarship in 1929, Dobell spent most of the 1930s living in London, where he shared lodgings with a burglar, Dobell using the sole bed at nights and his housemate occupying it by day when Dobell painted.
