  Collection of papers belonging to Mary Mansfield who edited 'Dream Millions' Fred Blakeley's account of the 1930 expedition to find the reef. Includes a copy of 'Dream Millions New Light on Lasseter's lost Reef by Fred Blakley' Angus & Robertson, Sydney, 1972, inscribed to Jim Jackson from Mary Mansfield on title page + the original TLs to Fred Blakeley from Ernest Bailey appointing him leader of the 1930 Expedition, dated 27th June 1930 on 'Central Australian Gold Exploration Company Limited' letterhead + Photographs of letters written in 1930 between members of the expedition + b/w photographs of one of the trucks & the plane after the crash + a copy of original agreement appointing Blakeley + typed extracts from Blakeleys account + collection of newspaper clipping concerning Blakeley c.1940 + qty of handwritten notes concerning Errol Cootes account of the expedition 'Hells Airport' published in 1934 + copies of correspondence written by Mary Mansfield prior to publication of 'Dream Millions' in 1972 & correspondence with publishers Angus & Robertson including TLs from Douglas Stewart to Mary Mansfield just prior to publication + qty of newspaper clippings concerning Lasseter and the book c.1940-70, etc
