    MANT, Reverent Richard, The Book of Common Prayer 1820
    and Administration of The Sacraments, and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church..... Oxford, Printed by W.Baxter, 1820, first edition, 966pp, full black morocco, raised bands, gilt spine & edges. Several pages of Bateman Family history written in ink at the rear, inscription on front fly leaf indicates the bible was a gift given to Thomas Bateman (1810-1882) of Guilsborough in 1820 from his God-Father William Pikes Esq, below this inscription is an ink signature of his grand daughter Grace D Bateman. According to family records at the rear Grace (b.1885) was the daughter of Thomas' son Arthur Wigley Bateman (1844-1899). Arthur studied medicine at Oxford then travelled extensively, he moved to Australia in the 1870's and married Anna Louisa Kennedy at Tenterfield N.S.W in 1879. Arthur and Anna settled in Albion Park in the 1880's, Authur becoming the districts first physician based locally, they built their home 'Ravensthorpe' in 1893 for their eleven children,
