  with working instructions within the detachable lid. This particular model, developed in 1942 was “tropicalised” to minimise the onset of mildew, rot and fungus; size 25x40x25cm, weight 21kg, c.1942.

  During WWII the RAN arranged for many civilian user “spotters”, located in the Pacific Islands region, to receive these 3B sets to alert authorities of any suspicious activities.
