    MEMORIAL PLAQUE to WILLIAM McLENNAN:
    Bronze plaque, 120mm diameter in the composite cardboard box of issue.
  • Notes:
    McLennan (from Mooroopna) enlisted on 9 November 1915; his rank on enlistment being: Private. He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 15th Reinforcement embarking from Melbourne, on board HMAT A18 Wiltshire on 7 March 1916. Rank from Nominal Roll: Corporal. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 25 July 1916. He was 39 years old. He is commemorated at the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France and at Mooroopna Cemetery, Victoria.
