NEW SOUTH WALES - PORT PHILLIP DISTRICT. LAND and EMMIGRATION RECEIPT No.45, issued to Mr. W.G. Brodie of Moonie Ponds
on 1st December 1849 for the payment of £135. The payment is in the nature of a deposit so that Brodie could participate in the purchase of Crown Lands. The receipt is signed by Charles Latrobe, Superintendent and Robert Hoddle, Surveyor in Charge.
