Lot Description:French carriage clock by Le Roy of Paris c.1840
Early multi-piece engraved brass case with heavy bevelled glasses to three sides and top. Brass back with shuttered winding and setting apertures, a strike/silent switch and a regulator slide. 8-day bell strike/repeat movement with lever escapement. Top of rear plate stamped 'Le Roy a Paris'. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, fine blued steel hands and engraved brass mask. Running order. Height 18.5cm (handle up). Width 10cm. With key.
