• Notes:
  Born in Transylvania & studied in Hungary, the artist travelled to England in 1928-29, where he produced his first wood engravings. In 1936 he won the Rome Scholarship & in 1937 began living & working in London. He illustrated many books & bookplates in the Expressionist style. He exhibited at the RA, RSA, RE.
