• Notes:
  The artist has depicted the plains kangaroo in typical style fro Western Arnhem Land. Although the internal organs are not shown as is normal in X-ray style paintings, the body is infilled with traditional rarrk or cross hatching. Mimi spirits which live in the rock escarpments of the stone country are shown with their dilly bags containing magic utensils, their tools & weapons. The Mimi's predated human habitation of the area & taught the Aborigines how to hunt & prepare food & how to perfom certain religious ceremonies. They are tall & thin & are often protrayed with limbs missing which have been blown off in violent winds
