Notes:"Our Legend says that there were the first people to live at that time and they came from the West. The word Balamando (means West) an Marnbill was their leader, (with) his wife Gin-Gin & her Uncle Duwaluwall. Their work was to dig wells for drinking water, make fish traps & tasted all kinds of land & sea foods. When they reached the top of Mornington Island, they settled down & made their camp. Here a sad thing happened & Duwaluwall tempted his neice Gin-Gin, & next day Marnbill thrust a spear into his body, Duwaluwall, did not die there but he rose body & soul into the sky. As he went up, he left curses upon them & their children, he said, "you both shall die from sickness, from sores, from snake bites, from taking f..& so many things that will cause death." and he rose up higher & he was never seen anymore."
