    A Japanese Bizen Dimpled Sake Flask, Daikoku Tokkuri, Late Edo-early Meiji, Impressed Kiln Stamp, Bizen, Okayama
    Wheel-thrown stoneware sake flask with broad hip tapering to sharply defined shoulder, neck and mouth. Decorated with incised concentric circles from the neck to the waist, and with three vertical finger wiped dimples, one with a modeled Daikoku figure set in one dimple. Fired in a communal kiln with speckled goma or sesame seed ash deposits on shoulder.
