  • Notes:
    Pieces of this type are often grouped among Yue wares, but were also made in Jiangxi province. Identified as some of the earliest tea wares, the bowls such as the current lot would have always been made with a matching stand repeating the decoration of the lotus petal. A cup stand which would fit the current lot, was sold at Sotheby's London, St George Street Sale: Asian Art, 9 November 2018, lot 260 sale L18219.
