    Drawn by R. Scanlan, this set of engravings is by J Harris, an artist and facsimilist of English descent best known for his work at the British Museum, meticulously restoring and replacing missing works and illustrations throughout their collection. This set was published by Rudolph Ackermann of Eclipse Sporting Gallery in London on August 2nd 1841 and is accompanied by a satirical caption regarding the equestrian scene above. Of substantial size and detail, this set in excellent condition is depicts an equestrian stable scene, prior to a race.
