  A New Zealand woods jewellery box
  made by an internee on Somes Island 1916, the front, rear and sides inlaid with flowers, shamrocks and horseshoe motifs, the top of lid with ‘hands across the sea’ symbol in front of a heart and an anchor inlaid with paua shell and ivory, the lid lifts to reveal an oil painting of Somes Island and one lift-out tray. 215 x 145 x 80.
