This charming coach built convertible, complete with its Terraplane embossed hubcaps, striking mascot and stylish Hudson dashboard detailing and embellishments, is finished in a soft buttercup yellow with brown interior trim and Dicky seat. According to a previous owner it is believed the body was built by Ruskin Motor Bodies Ltd of Melbourne and to have been bought new in Rockhampton, in 1936. The car was acquired by Clem Smith from Mr Ian McLehan of Moorabbin, in 1997. It has been maintained since its procurement for the collection and has participated in the Bay to Birdwood by both Clem and his son Brenton in 2006, 2008 and 2010. The full fold down roof has been remade and completes this classical pre-war convertible. It comes with a current S.A. Historic Registration logbook. This vehicle will be sold unregistered.
