  rectangular form with all over engine turned decoration and silver gilt border, the cover with applied gilt initials in a rectangular panel 'J.H.', gilt interior engraved 'Banco 4th December, 1937 Charles', slide action hinge stamped Asprey's patent no. 21914, made in England, this cigarette case is believed to have belonged to the Royal correspondent, corresponding hallmarks for London 1936 & maker's mark for Asprey & Co., 12.5cm L, approx. 200 grams
