Notes:this present Meiping was commissioned by the Chinese University of Hong Kong Art Museum in late 1970s from the Quyang Research Institute. The vase is an example of the co-operative efforts of archeological research institutes in China after the Culture Revolution to copy or reproduce wares of the past, the beginnings of the huge ceramics reproduction industry
