  Purchased Barry Lett Galleries, Auckland. Accompanied by original purchase receipt, dated 21/10/1977.
• Notes:
  A NOTE FROM WARWICK BROWN: In 1977 Nigel Brown was living in the Waitakere Ranges. The soil in the area was poor - mainly clay. He planted and nurtured a lemon tree which struggled to survive. Eventually it produced one perfect lemon, then died. For Brown this was a quasi-religious experience.
