Lot Description:A 19thC Kashmiri silver kashkul
distinctive vessel form showing Indo-Iranian influence to the fine embossed all-over leaf and floral scrolls, tapered pierced and engraved top border, the top rims terminating in stylised snake's heads of prow form. Length 175. -
Notes:Kashkuls were the begging bowls carried by travelling ascetic mendicants or dervishes.
