  by Charles Neigh & Co. of Hanley, in the Gothic style, the octagonal body with arched recessed panels each with a different apostle, pewter lid, impressed marks to base including date 1842. Height 265.

  A similar jug held in the V. & A. Collection and noted as 'One of the most iconic and successful of relief-moulded jug designs....'.
