  Twenty parts in one volume, complete, small folio, with woodcut illustrations throughout, period style quarter calf by Aquarius. London, Saturday Magazine, May 1836 – September 1837.
• Notes:
  Very scarce: the complete series of twenty parts. This was the only contemporary edition of this interesting and valuable account of New South Wales, written by William Romaine Govett, one of Major Thomas Livingstone Mitchell’s assistant-surveyors. Govett was engaged between 1829 and 1833 in the extensive survey of the colony that Governor Darling had directed Mitchell to complete. Govett’s account deals with the country he had helped to survey, the habits of the Aborigines, who interested him greatly, life in Sydney, the natural productions of Eastern Australia, and so on. In the course of his work on the Government Survey he discovered Govett’s Leap in the Blue Mountains, named by Mitchell in his honour. Each of the parts is illustrated by woodcuts of Australian scenery, the Aborigines, etc., most half-page folio in size. These fine illustrations are all after Govett’s drawings, with the exception of one after Charles Rodius. Bound in are a number of earlier issues of the Saturday Magazine of related interest.
