  Tench, Watkin. Rélation d’une Expédition à la Baye Botanique, située dans la Nouvelle Hollande
  sur la côte Meridionale, nommée par le Capitaine Cook, Nouvelle Galles Méridionale. Avec des Observations sur les Habitants de cette Contrée, & la liste de l’Etat Civil & Militaire, au Port Jackson, traduit de l’Anglais, du Capitaine Watkin Tinch [sic], par C**. P**. Octavo, plain original wrappers, preserved in a bookform box. Paris, chez Knapen fils, 1789.
• Notes:
  One of two French editions of Tench’s Narrative published in 1789 (no priority established). This version was translated by Charles Pougens, who was also responsible for the translation of John White’s Journal. Four English, one Dutch, two French and two German editions in the same year attest to a high level of European interest in the new colonial enterprise. Ferguson, 54
