    A c.1910 Brodie family photograph album
    including Winkelmann yacht photos. Includes 14 yacht and motor boat photos, two of these noted ‘Photo by Winkelmann’, others similar, most with pencil entitlement, ‘Jack Humphries Boat, Napier’, Lauren’s (?) Boat “The Gloria” ‘, this motor boat the subject of five photos in this album, others entitled ‘Putiki Bay, Waiheke, Lauren (?), Hal Shira and Tom Finlayson’, ‘Ladies Bay’, ‘St. Heliers’, etc. Other photos dated 1908 and entitled ‘Inner Harbour, Napier’, ‘Marshalls Crossing - Napier’. Burney (?) of the U.S.S.Coy. and the two Dentons’, ‘Beach Napier. 1910’, numerous portraits, tennis, 9.11.29 ‘Closing Day Ashburton Golf Club’, hunting, ‘Charlie Harrison Smith - World War No. 1 Hunting for Submarines in English Channel’, the most recent dated image being 1928.

    The lot is from the Estate of Rena Frances Brodie are associated with Capt. Francis Brodie, born Scotland, served with the 71st (Highland) Light Infantry (Lieut.), died at his home at Lake St John, Remuera,1916, Auckland Town Clerk 1870s, an awardee of 400 acres under the Military Settlers Act 1889.
