  A ‘Pocket Sketch Book’ belonging to Frank (Francis) Brodie
  c.1889, including ink sketches inscribed ‘Exercising horses Sunday, Urenui’; ‘Pig hunting, Urenui’; ‘Camping at Tamaki’; ‘Towing cattle punt up creek, Thames’ and others, along with two untitled works painted in watercolour of a whare whakiro and a pataka. Also a Funeral Register of Brodie’s wife Rowena (née Williams), obits and genealogical records of the Brodies.

  The lot is from the Estate of Rena Frances Brodie are associated with Capt. Francis Brodie, born Scotland, served with the 71st (Highland) Light Infantry (Lieut.), died at his home at Lake St John, Remuera,1916, Auckland Town Clerk 1870s, an awardee of 400 acres under the Military Settlers Act 1889.
