  the red jacket with original 71st buttons, gold trim, etc., showing some signs of age, together with four 19thC wax seals, two miniature military type awards, etc. A note associated with this lot giving history pertaining to Capt. Francis Brodie.

Francis Brodie, born Scotland, served with the 71st (Highland) Light Infantry (Lieut.), died at his home at Lake St John, Remuera,1916, Auckland Town Clerk 1870s, an awardee of 400 acres under the Military Settlers Act 1889.
