  The Complete Etchings of Norman Lindsay, Lin Bloomfield, Odana Editions 1998, states (p.25) "the delightful "Afternoon of a Faun" was etched c.1920. Rose pulled roughly fifty prints from the plate but it was never published because of its erotic content."
