  Gunner’s Manual “Instructions For 5 Inch Breech Loading Armstrong Gun”
  Circa 1880’s with Victorian military forces ink stamp throughout and inscribed Williamstown 24-10-87. Red leather cover with gilt embossed lettering and original red cord binding. These guns were used for the defence of Port Philip during the 19th Century at Point Nepean and Point Lonsdale. Good firm copy, boards chipped and rubbed (to be expected) missing one blank end page. Minor foxing to coloured lithograph plates. Rare
