Lot Description:A small Tibetan gilt bronze figure of Amitayus, 18th century
seated on a triangular mat holding a long-life vase. Amitayus Buddha is the principal Buddha in Pure Land Buddhism and he is known for his longevity attribute, pre-perception and the deep awareness of emptiness of phenomena. He is a very popular meditational deity in Vajrayana Buddhism. He belongs to the important and popular set known as the Three Long-life Deities: Amitayus, White Tara and Ushnishavijaya
