  An impressive 19thC yellow gold and silver, diamond and coloured stone basket brooch
  the open worked flared basket weave base with circular facet cut sapphires to the rim supporting an impressive spray of flowers and leaves in open work set with 51 rose cut and three rectangular table cut diamonds, eight further blue sapphires, some of ‘intense blue’ colour, one cushion cut emerald, three natural full pearls, two half pearls, seven rubies and four turquoises. Handmade. Valuation available stating ‘estimated to be mid-Victorian’.
