Lot Description:A good c.1900 carved and turned ivory chess set
one side red stained, the other plain, each piece with a pedestal base, fine turned multiple layered detail, the rooks, bishops and knights with carved highlights, minor attention required, housed in a Chinese black and gold lacquered travelling case with chess board exterior and backgammon interior. Height of the king and queen 117. -
