    A 7.34 carat solitaire diamond ring
    the old mine cut diamond, eight claw set in a high, pierced mount. 18ct yellow gold. Weight 7.3 grams. Size O ?.
  • Provenance:
    The ring is accompanied by a document stating 'This is to certify that the 7.46 carat diamond 'Altan Nur', from the palace of Emir Alim of Bokhara, was purchased by Sadri family in Eastern Turkestan in 1939 from his son Pulat Alimi. After Emir Alim was ousted by the Bolshevics from Bokhara in 1923, he fled to Afghanistan. One of his three sons Pulat Alimi, fled from the Soviet Union to Eastern Turkestan where he sold diamond to Sadri family through an intermediary'.
