  • Provenance:
    Ex. the estate of the artist Roy Dalgarno (b. Melbourne Australia 1910 - d. Auckland New Zealand 2001), Dalgarno lived in India c1950 - 1970 working and living within the arts community.
  • Notes:
    Khakar’s early works referenced street culture and kitsch, graffiti, posters and plaster idols. In the 1969 arts publication ‘Vischrick’ Khakhar lists in his ‘Visual Notes’ some influences including: ‘...landscapes done with waste material and Kanu Desai’s Plaster casts of gods and goddesses.
