  • Notes:
    This exceptional and finely tooled example is imposingly large. It is almost certainly stone carved. The deep rich patination has worn smooth from handling to the central region of the club's handle indicating a very early age. These larger forms of this type of club (lil-lil) were not only used as a striking weapon in combat but were often used as a type of parrying shield (similar to the leaf-like forms of the Solomon Islands).
