  A c.1900 Robinson & Leadbeater Parian ware bust of Col. Baden-Powell
  classically represented in military uniform, impressed details to reverse ‘By W.C. Lawton..... 1900’. Height 215.
• Provenance:
  Note: Boer War period, Baden
• Exhibited:
  Powell was trapped in a far distant small town surrounded by the Boers, his small force held out for several miraculous months in spite of persistent attacks until being successfully relieved. He became a symbol of British determined courage throughout the Empire.
