Notes:This painting is sold with a Warlayirti Artists Aboriginal Corporation certificate which reads: "An old man in the form of a hawk was angry with all the other people and so he lit a big bush-fire and burnt them all up. Their blood is now seen in red rocks in this area (known as 'tjaringinyi') which are held to be of great sacred significance. The artist is one of the senior custodians of this Law and country and look after the songs and dances that tell of these matters."
