Mild foxing to contents. Handsome bookplate of Mansfield-scholar Guy N Morris on front pastedown. Some wear, soiling and discolouration to DJ and slip case. Publisher's note tipped in after title page. Number 1,184/1,200. Colophon: 'This book, designed by Hans Mardersteig, was printed in the autumn of 1939 at the Officina Bodoni, Verona, in Centaur type. The paper was made by Enrico Magnani, Pescia. The stones from which the coloured lithographs were printed have been ground. The edition consists of twelve hundred numbered copies of which Nos 1-30 were signed by the artist.' A handsome association copy of this collectable Mansfield publication. G+/G/G/VG.
