A nearly mint condition minocular Waterson service metttalurgical compound microscope from the old James Kerby plant in Sydney. Black lacquered & black Japaned finish, with minimal scratches and unblemished chromed parts. Curse & fine focus adjustments, serial no. 70843, made during WWII, complete with a Watson 3 aperture nose piece and ebonite surface stage with height adjusted by rack & pinion gearing. 2 objectives, 11/2" Versalic, a Para 1'6" for metallurgy and one x 10 - Ocular. With original light that fits at right angles into the rube to provide light to the stage. Comes with original hardwood cabinet, in good condition, with original handle & lock, but no key. Top of limb engraved with Watson Victor Ltd, Australia & New Zealand -
