  Reference: This work is a study for the set that Hotere designed for the premier performance of James K. Baxter's play 'Temptations of Oedipus', which took place at the Globe Theatre, Dunedin. The Globe theatre is, notably, where all of Baxter's plays premiered and while Hotere undertook design work for three different productions at the Globe theatre, this is the only instance in which he designed the set for a Baxter production.
