Hutton was a famous English batsman between 1930s and 1950s who at one stage held the world record for the highest test score with 364. Very old innings of ‘135’ inscribed on reverse of bat with details illegible. A well-used character bat which has obviously scored many runs. Made in England together with a c.1920s ‘B. Warsop’ of Marlebone, England. ‘Patsey Hendren’ 4 star facsimile autographed bat. A fine willow cricket bat with possibly the original black rubber grip. Hendren was a famous English batsman from the 1920s and 1930. He was named cricketer of the year in 1920 and played 51 test matches for England.
