• Lot Description:
  Three vintage tennis racquets
  a 1978 Dunlop Volley, aluminium frame open throat, made in England. Excellent condition, with cover, a 1968 - 1982 Wilson T2000 steel open throat racquet, unusual crown and spiral wire wrap stringing system.
• Notes:
  This racket was kept in production virtually due to Jimmy Connor’s world dominance in tennis rankings during this era. He won Wimbleton with this racket among his 109 Singles tour victories. It was regarded as an extremely difficult racket to control and a 1973- 1982 similar racket to above. These rackets sold for around US$50 - $70 making them one of the most expensive rackets marketed; double the price of most other rackets on the market. Excellent condition.
