Lot Description:A heavily cast Nepalese gilt-bronze censer, probably 18th century
in the form of a kylin with a cobra rearing up on his back, a sealed compartment under the stomach
22cm high, 17cm wide -
Provenance:A Sydney private collection, passed down by descent from the parents, who were given this figure as a gift by a man whose parents were missionaries in China in the late Qing period.
